A CANADIAN teenager has travelled across the Atlantic Ocean to visit Tywyn, the town he’s named after.
Three years ago, social media page Love Tywyn received a message from Ontario, Canada, where Becky Western-Macfadyen was looking for gifts for her son Tywyn Coel ap Loewen.
Love Tywyn administrator, and former town councillor, Mark Kendall sent a series of presents to Canada and received a few gifts in return, sparking the start of a long-distance friendship.
Now, an ambition to visit Tywyn has been realised when Tywyn and his family visited the Meirionnydd town on Monday “enjoying themselves very much”.
